Cancellation Policy:
Please call to re-schedule your One on One lesson or Team session within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment. No phone call within 24 hours will count as a full lesson. Only one cancellation allowed per four scheduling times. A second cancellation will be charged as a full lesson. -Thank you.
Late Payment Fee: A $10 charge will be added to the overall fee if not paid at time of lesson(s).
Payment: When paying for 4 sessions in advance you are committing to 4 sessions. Refunds for remainder of lessons will not be approved when purchasing 4 sessions in advance. The sessions do not expire when you pay in advance. We do offer paying per lesson.
Weather Conditions: Please note that you will be contacted if the weather conditions hinder the ability to conduct your scheduled training session. Changes may happen the day of the training session or closer to your scheduled time.
Arrival: Please do not arrive early to your training sessions unless told otherwise.
Parking: Please park on the far right side of the driveway.
Derek Gaskill
To begin my playing career, I was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 1992 just out of high school and played with them until 1995. I was the Organizational Pitcher of the year with them in ’95 and in Major League spring training with them in ‘94 and ’95.
In 1996 I was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays and pitched in the Major League spring training with them. That same year in Toronto and later in the year pitched at The Skydome against the Texas Rangers.
In 1997 I signed with the New York Mets and pitched in the Major League spring training with them in '98 and '99. I pitched at the Shea Stadium for the Mets in '98.
I pitched in an exhibition game against the Tides at Harbor Park for the Major League team in '98.
Continued to play with the New York Mets Organization through to the year 2000.
Following the New York Mets from 2001-2005 played in various Double A, and Triple A type leagues.
2006 played with a USA team where we traveled to Nicaragua to play their National Team in a three game series.
From there, after 14 years, I decided to retire and start a new chapter of my life. This included continuing the instruction of ball players in a wide range of age groups. All combined, including clinics and teams, I have taught to thousands. This includes personal instruction to over 500 individuals.
Additional Information:
I played with current and future Hall of Famers such as Rickey Henderson, Orel Hershiser, Mike Piazza, Roy Halladay and pitched against future Hall of Famer’s such as Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, and Vladimer Guerrero.
Derek Gaskill Ministry Bio:
In 1992 Derek Gaskill was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers out of high school. He went onto play professional baseball with the Toronoto Blue Jay's and New York Mets as well until 2005. After retiring from his baseball career he has been involved with churches from being a youth pastor to helping plant a church and being apart of ministries that serve our local community. Derek has preached to thousands at different ministry events over the last 25 plus years. Dereks family have felt the call of ministry for years but even more so in the last few years being directed to Evangelism. He and his wife Abbey and three daughters are excited to see God continue to open doors to spread the gospel around the world.
